NONONONO don't do it been there done that bad idea the reaction will kick off ( especially I hot weather ) again and will blow the deck off and distort the hull and it will take alot of effort to get out and get the boat back to the proper shape again
fullsize offset should be left side to keep the left sponson down and the turnfin in the water in the turns .remember we run clockwise and fullsize run counter clockwise. we are allowed to mirror full size offset .what i am unclear about is if fullsize has offset that scale has to have offset...
if you measure total width of the tunnel at transom devide by 2 that will be where the strut is . the line you drew was center of center section ( which is offset) which is not the centerline of the hull. I know it looks weird if the center section is offset it is hard to mount the motor on...
I know it may be stating the obvious but it was done that way because of the center section offset to try to keep the prop on the center line of the hull. My (8808 ultra bold u8) center section is offset to the left as per full-size (original owner built that way). My whole driveline has a kink...
has anyone tried using super cavitation like on the full sized diesil racing boats of a few years back on hydros or for that matter on any rc boat, how it worked was that there was a tube behind the front of the top blade of the prop and exhuast gases were forced through it get the prop to...
What did with my rudder servo on My 1/8 scale (before water proof servo ) was too buy a long servo extn put the put inside the water proof servo box run the lead from where you put The rudder servo to th radio box at the front of the boat.....back then we built our own radio boxes ..I know...

where is the big tank located on right side hopefully as this will help with fuel flow when cornering as g force will want to make fuel go the left, if you have the tank on left it will be harder for the fuel to go from main to the header when cornering
don't use self expanding foam as in summer the foam reaction will kick in again due the the heat and will distort your pride and joy ....... i learnt that one the hard way
i am looking to make smaller receiver packs , i have found some small batteries but they are 3.6 volt .
the idea is to cut the number of cells/ weight while keeping the capacity as high as i can. has any one tried this?
i was thinking to try cr123a or similar
i am in new zealand here we often use aircraft sets as generally we are not in or near the same location what i use for the scale is a 7 channell jr x378 on 72mhz( i think 72 meg might be illegal over there in the us) , i have not run for awhile but i know alot of the guys are now running the...
my u8 ultra bold has controlable front canards , my radio has programable mixs so i have set it up to link to the throttle and adjusted to come up above half throttle all this can be run at the flick of a switch
the main reason they do it here in nz is numbers , because there aren't that many gp boats in nz maybe ten in the whole country( due to small budgets and mechanical problems you dont often get full turn outs ) teams often save efforts for the major race.so race organisers often have the f1...
