Worse for me, it is the weekend of my Wife's birthday. She generally frowns on me being gone for that. Her birthday is Monday the 15th, so she wants to celebrate that weekend.
Oh well.
The dates are: February 13 & 14, 2010
The website is updated as well: http://www.grandprixclassic.com/main.swf
Entry form appears to be for this year as well.
Bill
If it were me I would use a Neu 2215/1.5Y (1020 Kv) and run it on 8S2P power. Castle 240HV or similar ESC and he will have a very nice boat. A little tamer set up will be to use the 2Y (750 Kv) motor.
But honestly, regardless of how much experience he has, large FE boats are not the place to...
Except this effort started as far back as 2005. This is simply the latest interation of it. Bills that failed in previous sessions of Congress die at the end of that session. New action requires the bill to be reintroduced, as is the case with this bill.
Since we currently operate model boats...
Just by the by, Obama has nothing to do with this and the origins of the plan date to 1984.

There are still 2 more SAWS at Legg this year, just not a dedicated FE only. It's fun to play at the mixed SAWS.
SAW August 29 & 30
2-Lap September 26 & 27
SAW November 7 & 8
And keep an eye here for any other changes to the schedule: http://www.namba19.com/race_forms/forms.html
First, properly handled lipos are no more risky than most other battery types. The risk comes from improper charging or storage.
As far as charge times my 10S 6,000 mAh packs charge just as fast as my 2S 730 mAh packs. Just about an hour. 1C is 1C. The rub comes when using multiple pack set...
I have two of the exact same mono hulls, one is gasoline and the other electric. The gas goes +/- 60 mph, the FE version has been clocked over 80 mph and I have not maxed that out yet. FE/Lipos are faster, no question about it.
Sorry, but in at least the case of the venerable turkey you are wrong. They are in fact indigenous to the US. The pilgrims sure did not bring them with them.
BTW - Benjamin Franklin wanted to make the Wild Turkey the official US bird.
In the past I have seen this concept applied to logos, etc. But you are right, it applies more to written materials. I was posting it simply to get the term out there.
Personal use is not likely to be an issue for any company. It is the commercial use of their logo that they get bothered about. Ask the folks you work for how they feel about the unauthorized use of their name or logo.
