Anyone testing this engine? I have the outboard on order and just seeing what your thoughts are about the performance.It looks to have potential. ...

Pretty good little engine so far.

Yes I have been talking with Rene ,,and yes the engine does run well so far ,,it's sounds like its gonna scream when fine tuned..

What squish clearance you guys get ,,I only getting .013 " and thats without any shims...The head button may need machining..

Ok so I measured the clearance again a number of times with digital calipers and ended up at .008" -.010" and that is without shims..

Rene ,the head has been set by a engine expert when he modified the ops and his measuring of the clearence is more accurate than using solder ,,so its good to go..
