Hello-

It is with regret that we pass along the information that Dave Simpson, owner of Got Nitro Online has passed away.

I received an email from his daughter this morning with details while inquiring about my order status.

It is my understanding that she is going to attempt to carry on with the business, but they have legal

channels to go through in getting bank accounts re-organized.

She is going to stay in contact with me and we'll update OPS status as needed.

Regards-

Tim W.

Oh man that’s terrible news. Well Gods speed thanks for all the support over the years Dave going to miss ya Charles

UPDATE:

Just spoke with Vanessa Simpson, Dave Simpson's daughter... she is young and overwhelmed by the business

and it seems Dave didn't leave it too organized, so she's having a hard time filling orders. I, for one, have an

outstanding order that was paid for via PayPal.

She asked me if I knew of anyone that may be interested in buying the business and I told her I'd look into it.

So, it would be great to keep an OPS distributor in the States. Mantua Model UK Ltd. in GB is the distributor

for Mantua Model of Italy. I do know that Dave dealt directly with Mantua Model of Italy, because I received

correspondence from them via Dave at Got Nitro Online.

Trade between the Italian companies and the US are precarious at present due to the likely implosion within

the Italian economy. Italy is in very dire shape, and not far from tumbling into what Venezuela is going through.

At any rate, that's the latest. The new line of OPS engines are every bit as good as they have ever been.

If one were to examine photos of the last Picco HP45 marine engine as compared to photos of the NEW OPS

45 Nitro Marine, it's easy to see the near identical nature of the two, with the OPS having further improvements.

At an MSRP of $375, it's a great deal. The corresponding header is $21 and the #6280 nitro pipe is $54.

Thanks-

Your welcome, Alan... I had wanted to give that new 45 a try but snoozed on it too long.

I'd like to get a hold of those #6280 pipes, too...one of the best 45 pipes out there for high nitro-

especially for NR46DD.

Thanks-
