Dear boaters! I'll have a few GEN-4M flow meters ready to ship. I made a little improvement to GEN-4 flow meters adding additional switch to run flow meter in one (up to .4 motors) or two pumps ( for bigger motors) mode. This made flow meter more accurate for small motors.

The box dimensions are 7"x 5-1.8"x 2-3/4". The same as GEN-4.

The price still $195 shipped within US. Thanks. Boris

Please no PM!

Hi Boris, how much to send it to Canada?

Thanks!
Priority mail to Canada is $42.50, but I have to send it without LIPO. You have to get LIPO locally. Thanks. Boris

It is option to send complete Flow meter FedEx international ground for $225. Boris

OK, how much if you send me it without lipo with post office?

What type of lipo do you use on it?

Thanks!

Unfortunately it will be around $240. FedEx is the best way to Canada. I use battery from Hobby King, that cost me ~$12. Boris

I started with a Gen I flow meter and I really liked it because I could zero out the meter every time which I feeel gave me consistent readings. Then I started running bigger engines and was not able to get good numbers due to the higher flow. I sent my meter back and you upgraded to Gen III (but with NiMh batteries because I hate LiPo's). Now I can't zero out my meter any more because of the new pump design.

Can you make a meter that will handle large and small motors that can be zero'ed out every reading?

I would have PM'd but you asked that we don't do that.

Thanks

Glenn

Hi, Glenn!

I hope you can not calibrate upgraded flow meter, but latest design not need any calibration! It is sensitive to air conditions change.

The GEN-4m work well with small and big motors. Thanks. Boris

Hi Borris do you have any base numbers for the Gen 4 units. Thanks Tim
Hi, Tim! I did no keep base numbers. A few year ago I collect numbers from several boaters but range was to wide to give recommendations. Every boat setup has own baseline. Start from very rich, go to lean and find own number. Boris

Thanks Borris, I have your Gen 4 and starter, is it possible to upgrade the Gen 4 with the switch feature for more accurate readings for the small motors. Thanks Tim
Hi, Tim! It is possible to upgrade yours flow meter. I can send wired connectors ($6 shipped) and you can install them itself. Also you can use any pair of connectors and any flexible wire. Goog Luck. Boris

I think you make a great flowmeter and I have used mine a lot. It seems to get me very close if not exact on the mixture. For my boats its very consistent. I just like the ability to calibrate the meter every time - like zeroing out an ohmmeter before use. You know? Is there a way to add the Gen I calibration feature to the Gen IV design?

Hi, Glenn! Of course I can add calibration to GEN-4 flow meter, but this is a wrong idea! Latest design flow meters will lost sensitivity to air condition changes - so main benefit will by lost! This is not like old ohmmeter need zeroing to compensate battery discharge, today's ohmmeter not need zeroing! Boris
