My trusty old yellow Sullivan fuel pump died, and have gone back to the old faithful 6 shooter for the time being, but would like to get another electric pump, particularly for filling my larger fuel tanks.

Whats out there these days that works, isn't slow or leaky, and will hold up to high nitro for a relatively long time? And where's the best place to buy?

I second the slimline from John Otto at technology fuels. You won't be disappointed. They screw right onto the top of a 1 gallon nitro jug perfectly.

I was very disappointed in slimeline had nothing but trouble had to rebuild twice and wasnt a year old called them about it and they wouldnt stand behind there product
 
Slim Line from John Otto or a Jersey Modeller one from Tony at Hobby Supplies.

I love my Jersey one Tim.

I have been using the ones from Tower Hobbies with 50% to 66% nitro and still works after 5 years, also have a new one as a spare and have not had to take it out of the package yet in case the current one dies. The best part is they are cheap enough if they break they are easily replaceable.

I use a 6-shooter for the boat. However, many years ago for my helis I used a SonicTronics pump. I like those guys because you can buy used/refurb pumps from them (for cheap!), as well as send them your pump for discount on another.

The same goes for their glow-starters. I have used a McDaniel NiStarter for over 20 years. Every year, I send it back, and get a brand new one for a very small amount. It may not be what you want, but they're a good company to deal with.

Slime line pumps work great ,I have had mine since 1998 and i have repaired kitted it once. I run 65 percent . Tim is a great guy to deal with. Remember do not use a clunk or filter inside your nitro bottle, it will eventually get clogged with castor debris and damage your pump.
 
Slim line all the way.

the one that fits the Jug makes the jug top heavy and is a tall unit. Had one for a few years no issues.

I sold it and bought the slimline boxer.

Thanks! Even if I go with a slimline I'd probably get the Tower one also. No harm in having a back-up.
