Kyle,

I believe that is a 40 size Leecraft tunnel, power head might be a issue not many 40 size outboard motors on the market anymore.

Kyle,

I keep plenty of Novarossi 46 Outboard powerheads in stock that will bolt right up to that K&B lower unit. Here are a couple of pics, one showing the powerhead on a Leecraft 460 like yours and a video of it running at a 60mph heat racing speed. You can go to www.novarossi.us to order. Thanks.

Thanks Beau and Ron I will check out your powerheads seems to be a solid boat running at 60 pretty excited to get her going

Kyle,

If you need any setup help on that Leecraft once you get powerhead, just let me know.

You can save some money by buying a decent used power head. K&B, Rossi. Nelson are all good. The LeeCraft XT460 was designed to use the K&B 7.5 outboard for racing. Many 7.5 outboard tunnels will run 60mph, in heat racing trim. The new Novarossi power head is a race winner, right out of the box, but you can get a nice K&B for less than half the price. Just FYI, the current SAW and Oval records in IMPBA are held by K&B powered boats. If you want to win races, the secret is setup and knowing how to drive your boat. If you need any more info. Thats a good running boat ron . I might have to make a switch since k&b parts get harder and harder to find

Novarossi is the way to go unless you have the machinery and knowledge how to do internal engine mods on an 8702 rare to find K&B. Bolt on a NR46 and run with the best of them! Driving and setup are key like already said here. TunnelkKing

Thanks guys. Yes, Novarossi does a lot of research and testing to achieve an engine that you can set the head clearance on for the fuel you are running, and as Beasley said, run with the best of them. Novarossi strives to give you the horsepower you need in an engine so you can spend all of your time on setup and props. With so many engine companies either exiting our boat hobby or bypassing it altogether for lack of volume, we are fortunate to have Novarossi and a couple of others still willing to provide top notch power for our small rc boat market.

I would like to offer my most humble apology to Mr Ron Shaw for posting what I thought was going to help a fellow boater. I guess I should have left this hobby years ago. I hope Ron can keep the outboard tunnel racers with product for many years to come, I guess there is nothing more to say. I know my place.

Thanks for all the input guys it is much appreciated we all know nova makes a quality product as well as k&b all the different opinions are much appreciated for a new outboard guy.I will definatly be in touch with you all for more info
