Anybody out there got a good length measurement for a heat racing setup?
I'd say about 13.5 inches unless you're gonna run in shallow water.................. maybe we can talk about this some more this Saturday at the race in Chesapeake.Anybody out there got a good length measurement for a heat racing setup?

Yes that does help. Mine is 1 1/4" shorter than that and tells me alot about why it's been driving............or not driving........ like it has. That gives me a good base line.I'm not sure of the difference between an SG and an SGX, but on my 67 SGX the set up sheet shows a recommended length of 3.75" below the bottom of the tub. Works well on mine. Hope this helps.
