This looked like it had potential, did anyone ever run one? Are they still made?

Jeff,

That was another Rody Roem motor that he was working with O.S. on.

Never heard any test results yet? This was after the Technopower-21.

It looks like a great outboard set up. Maybe Rody will see this and chime

in on it?

Technopower. They still sell cranks and pto assemblies. Not sure about complete powerheads.

I used a Technopower P/L in a mac .21 case and it was a very good running set up.

Was sorry to see this eng go away.

I was surprised by the lack of chatter about these power heads on this site since they were released...

Jeff, go to worldchampionproducts.com and you will see this powerhead plus the contact info for Mr. Roem.

Hi,

Yes they are still made and you can find them here : http://www.worldchampionproducts.com/en/414-marine

These engines are OS based and are supplied without the carburetor to keep the costs limited. Costs are important because we run small production batches and so price is always higher.

We have been selling these engines for several years now and have been running the engine myself for quite some time now. Never let me down.

I have had some requests for a water cooled version and I hope to make this engine available soon.

If you need more info, do not hesitate to ask.

Other than being an Outboard Power Head, what are the other differences between this version and a regular OS?

Are the timings different or does it use a standard OS liner?

Looks great btw.

Thx.

Click on the link Rody posted, then click on the water cooled power head, technical specifications. All there - special "Rody" crank & 7P ABC liner, & more. Go take a looksee (-;

It has a specific 7-port liner made for Outboard racing and a specific crankshaft and backplate which fits the OS leg.

It is possible to use the piston/liner of the 21XZ-R in this engine which will even make it faster but not really needed in my point of view.
