IMPBA District 12 Race #3 hosted by the Capitol RC model Boat Club will take place the weekend of June 12-14 at our club pond in Centreville, VA. This will be your last chance to tune up before Nitro and Gas Nats. We had a 110 boat count last year and hope to top that this year. BBQ lunch will be provided by Travis Stebbins of Slow Mo BBQ on Saturday and Sunday (bring $5's). Sign up on www.rcracingevents.com

Hope to see you there!

Okay folks, D12 race #2 is in the books. We have less than four weeks to go until race #3. We (the Capitol Club) pushed our race up a couple weeks from our normal date so folks could attend Nitro Nats. That's why were a bit front loaded on the schedule this year. Lets start getting signed up. Looking forward to seeing you all!

RC Racing Events has been up and down the last couple of weeks. It's currently up so sign up while you can...

We're up over 60 entries with about two and a half weeks before registration closes. Considering we have a habit of waiting the last second to register, I think we're doing pretty good. RC Racing Events seems up and running consistently over the last couple of days so keep those entries coming!!

I'll be there, first race of the season for me and might even be first time this season actually putting a boat in the water. Hate it when life's responsibilities get in the way of having fun.

Looking forward to seeing you Don!

Hey Robin, Ask Travis to check his email. Thanks!

I'm quickly learning an 1/8th scale is something you can't rush. Finally got the decals on this weekend. Got a few small water bubbles under the decals. Got to get them to weep out so I can hopefully get the hull clear coated quickly. Once that's done, she should go together fast.

One more week to register folks. I'm expecting at least a half dozen more racers to enter and think were going to be somewhere around 90 entries. Not the biggest crowd but the racing will still be good. This will also give us time to take a little break for lunch on Saturday. Travis is going to mix it up a bit and do some chicken for us this year along with some other goodies. Bring some $5's for lunch so we dont run into change problems. We'll also have a raffle and we've collected some nice items for that. We try to make the race a little better every year so come on out and I know you'll have a good time. This is the last district race untill the end of August and the last time to get some practice in before Gas Nats.

Were at 80 entries and still expecting about four more racers. We're down from last year which is a bit disappointing but what are you gonna do. We moved our race up a couple weeks to make room for Nitro Nats. We're still going do our best to make every race we host better than the last.

The long range forecast looks typical for late June. Temps pushing 90 and slight chance of showers each day which probably means it's going to be humid. Bring the generators, fans and plenty to drink! A few reminders: The management does not want us to park cars on the grass. So unload or unhook your trailers and park along side the road only on Friday. We can probably use the small parking lot during the weekend. Also, we'll have our net barrier running along the shore 25 feet from the water. When you set up, leave about a six foot gap between your canopies and the barrier so spectators can walk along the netting and racers can easily get by.

That's about it for now. We're light in Offshore and RTR. Entry Deadline is midnight Tuesday evening. If you have any changes or additions, drop me a line and I'll get them done quickly.
