I'm not a saw guy but were you planning on getting a good turnout during the week, or just trying to attract a certain crowd?

Some of our members like to offer this style event during the week for guys that have to work weekends ;-) and old retired farts like myself!

I was going to let this pass but ........

The Huntsville club hosts record trials [4] sometimes [5] times a year......

Believe it or not some people that are really interested in RC boating work weekends and cannot attend the weekend events.....

The offering of an event during the week makes Huntsville "inclusive" not "exclusive" when it comes to record trials and serving RC boating.....

Huntsville has never had a reputation of having perfect weather for every event so the more events offered the better....

We should be applauding HMBC for offering the week day event not questioning or criticizing their motives for whatever reasons.....

Historically the turnout for the week day events are basically the same in numbers as the weekend events .....

Lets put this a different way.....Since you are not SAW guy.....what were your motives for even making this post???....and..... why do you care anyway????

Good on ya Rod

This event is like any other. If you can make the trip, make it, if not, maybe next year.

The Huntsville gang should indeed be applauded for their efforts in hosting 4-5 RTs each year. Those guys work hard and put on a first class event.

Thanks for the support guys! I can tell you it is not a slam dunk to host these events (or ANY event) and many times the work goes unnoticed by those that attend. I can tell you a great deal of work and efforts goes on well before any boats even show up to the lake! We selected 1 out of 5 events we will be hosting this year as a middle of the week event as stated in this topic we have some folks that work on weekends and this is the only time they can do the boats. Let's put names to the members of HMBC that generously donate their time [vacation time in some cases] to put on these events...

In no particular order.... just as I remember them...lol

David Hall... Paul Traufler... Bill Zuber.... Marc Bullard... Rick and Kim Grim... Doc Turner...Jon Thibodeau......

I am sure I missed somebody....I apologize in advance for that oversight.....

A record trial is no walk in the park.....

These people deserve recognition....
