I looked on here and the website but couldn't find any info but does it add strength to the hull when you use it?

Do you have to use the primer first before you apply?

Lastly. Do you need to clear over it. Thanks? I'm new to this type of painting.

Sam,

It adds a hard layer like any epoxy will, but it does not soak into the wood like a West Systems or MAS will.

It does not need to applied over a primer, but for hulls that needs some sanding its better to use the primer than the paint.

If you opt for the gloss hardener, it will come out pretty shiny so no need to clear.

Do not use any old epoxy thinner, buy the reducer they sell.

Tis is what I use on my nitro boats. Use the white primer and catalist it fill nice and sands out very easy. The colors are used 1 part color, 1part cat, one part reducer, this will spray easily. You could brush on a first coat of primer and sand then just one more coat of primer it will be ready to paint color. Give it a light coat first time over wait about 15 to 30 min and give it a heavier coat it will have good gloss.

They have small sets of polyu 2 part clear coat too, I dont use the Klass Koat clear cause it will yellow out the polyu wont yellow.
