Hughey is no longer available as far as what I've heard. I use only SST shafts from Mark Bullard here on IW.

Octavio from cp mods does a really good job on 1/4 shafts teflon coated also

I have used Accu-Tec. Octura, Hughey and Zip and have had good luck with all. Whoever your local vender is and pricing. Try them out and if they don't live up to your expectations then onto a new supplier. Sometime there is just a bad batch of cable.
