Hi guys,

Been out f the loop for a long time but now I am getting the itch to run FE Tunnel (Lynx, Vision , ML Boatworks ) not in that order. Any suggestion for Hulls, running gear etc. Also what seems to be the best FE tunnel class to run? Thanks in advance for any information and its good to see everybody is still racing.

Thanks,

It's full of pages like this. There's no way to buy boats online with credit cards or PayPal. Take a look at the ML Boatworks site as an example of a very effective site. I know the demand for tunnels is very small due to power plant availability, but electric outboards should be straight forward to assemble from parts. You might consider offering assembled P limited outboards. There are several lower units around and adapters were mentioned above. A custom lower just for an electric motor should also be straightforward in these days of 3D printing. If the available plastics aren't strong enough investment castings from 3D printed wax should be possible. Hobby King has several that could be used as examples. The OS engine is all that's left for a complete nitro outboard.

We all need to make a huge contribution to "save" the tunnelclasses. It seems to me like they are not so popular anymore, don`t know if most people find them difficult to dial in or if it is caused by the lack of good engines... Even OS is now making smaller batches of the outboard due to low sale, with an increase in price as a consequence.
However it seems like the new Nova Rossi OB series are selling fairly good . Even though it was a "quick fix" to make outboards out of the DD engines I doubt the market is big enough to challenge NR to make lower legs as well, we just need to prove that we will buy more OB stuff in the future
The electric OB`s are just as fun as the glow and gas. From what I can see there is quit a distance between a lot of the FE / IC guys, wish you all could put your heads together and make the tunnelclasses grow.

I need to apologize for my remarks about PTI. Their web site does need some work, but actual product is more important. After an exchange of messages with Paul, I believe they are working hard to fill the holes left by the death of K&B. They will have some interesting products for tunnels in the future.

Lohring, I just went to Paul's website, and found it really easy to add a Kit to the cart, and go directly to Paypal. You just go to CATALOG,ELECTRIC, PX-300.... for example, and it shows the various kits offered.

We all do this stuff as a side job, not our full time jobs. I have been really blessed to have a great website developer as a friend who loves my kits. He is probably the only reason I have a website. When I had a website in the past, it was a template site, and sucked. Having one like I currently have, would probably have cost me thousands and thousands. Fortunate is not even the word!

Joern, there are probably several reasons to why tunnels have dwindled, but this website for one, probably ran a lot of newbies away from the race scene. To be blunt about it, the public perception of what was transpiring on this site was not a good thing, it really wasn't.
