The Capitol RC Model Boat Club will be hosting the UOSA Thunder on the Water VII, District 12 Race #3 the weekend of June 27-29 at our club pond in Centreville, Virginia. We had a great turn out last year and hope do attract even more racers this year. We've got a class for just about every boat but if you want to add a class and can round up enough troops to make a three boat minimum, LMK and we'll take care of you. We have a moderately priced hotels close to the pond and Bull Run Regional Park can take care of any campers. Sign up is via www.rcracingevents.com You can pay via PayPal or mail us a check after registering online.

Okay folks, Bill has taken care of the problems on RC Racing Events. Registration is open. We'll have trophys for first place in each class if we get 100 entries two weeks prior to the race.

I just signed up. P-mono and 1/8th scale. Both electric! Don't try to con me into running my gas boats. This is a trial run to see just how much I like or dislike electric heat racing.

One month to go folks. We're doing pretty good with 33 entries. Check out www.rcracingevents.com to see who's entered....and to get your entry in.

I just confirmed Travis will be smoking up some Q for us for Saturday and we'll have some good sides to go with it. We'll try to take a 45 minutes lunch break on Saturday if we are on schedule and will probably race through lunch on Sunday so we can get everyone out of here as early as possible. Everyone will be on their own for lunch on Sunday.

That's it for now....

Unfortunately Travis wont be able to attend the race because he is doing a Q Competition that weekend. I don't know how Robin is going to fit a big cooler plus his gas rigger, gas mono and his nitro boats in his car on Saturday morning.

I'll see what we can do but I don't want to kill any of our district racers from food poisoning.. LOL

On another note. During the Delmarva race two weeks ago, my son John flipped his P-Limited Tunnel in front of Kent (Hotwater) . Kent had no time to react and hit John's boat breaking the OS lower at the motor mount and sending the motor to the bottom of the pond. Kent felt bad and offered to pay for the damage but I refused. Well Kent listens about as well as my kids because today I got a box from Offshore Electrics with a new UL1 motor and cooling jacket. So I just want to publically say thanks to Kent. For being a good friend and sportsman. That's how we roll in D12.

Thanks Pete but Travis is going to load up Robin with some BBQ to bring on Saturday so no cooking necessary but we may still need your help to set up. Thanks a bunch. You will be bringing a boat, won't you????

Get signed up so I can order those trophies.

We've got Scott Liddycoat and Trent signed up for Gas Rigger.... plus Kobie getting his feet in Gas Cat. Schweet!

60 entries with four weeks to go. We almost have a full heat of Jersey Skiff/ Crackerbox entered and I am expecting a couple more. If you are registered for this class, LMK which one your are running. I may split them up into separate classes if we have enough of each type entered.
