What a great weekend of racing with the District 8 guys in my first ever sport .40 race that also turned out to be my first District 8 win as an adult. I may have won a kids or novice one as a kid in 3.5 tunnel but dont remember. Anyhow first 3 heats were all 1st place finishes as I was the only one to finish, but heat #4 and the final heat of the day was a barn burner. She failed to take off at the start as she was just a click too lean, I was last to turn 1 but 1st by the end of lap 4, then I decided to cut the bouy on the backstretch and was in 4th again halfway through lap 5, somehow I was able to put my head down and pass 3rd and 2nd place in the final corner to take 2nd in that heat. This all lead to 1st overall for the day. Thank you District 8 racing family for letting me be a part of the show. It was a blast.

Third District race in a row 3rd First place plaque in a row. This thing is an absolute pleasure to drive.

That used to be mine, sold it cause lack of racers down here in florida.

yes it did drive nice.

congrats on your purchase.

Mike, yes. My brother J.R. found your pics you posted after you built it. All I can say is man you did a marvelous job. I bought it from Scott Meyers and he changed the steering servo to waterproof and moved it to the rear. I paid him for the boat adjusted the needle and have not had to touch a thing. Grease the shaft put fuel in it and it goes out and comes back every time. This was the best model boat purchase I ever made in my life. Thank you for all of your work, she is an absolute rocket.

After 4 races in District 8, the boat is still sitting on a perfect record 4 race wins. Struggled a little bit as I drove into a rooster tail in the first heat and dumped it, second heat got a little greedy with the needle and lost the plug on the start of lap 3, then finished it off with 2 heat wins. 2 more district races and hopefully can chase down the points leader Jim Hagen when its all over. Gotta turn those DNFs into finishes, no finish = no points, I like points.

Yes I did. I really wanted him to get that thing out there. I was disappointed he didnt make it but as in racing, sometimes it better to be lucky than good. I owe him one for sure.

Thank you district 8 racers. I had so much fun racing with you guys this year. It was a great year for my first year racing sport 40. 6 races, 5 wins and a 2nd to Mark Anderson. Wrapped up 1st for the season points in class. Thank you Jim Haggen for a great final heat of the season, cant wait to get out and do it again next year.

Thank you Jerry. I look forward to racing other classes next year. It was great to do the district racing and spend that time with my brother. We really do want to help grow RC racing in the northwest and get it close to what we remember growing up as kids. I want to see whole families coming out and racing and or participating in some fashion.

Hey Joey,

Craig here, nice job, glad you had fun. I wish I could have raced you more....many problems. Got a new CMB for mine, getting ready see you soon.

Craig (Bokker)
