looking for a carburetor for a k&b gold head. also I drop my radio it is a fly sky gt3b checking to see if anyone had a extra one

thanks rob

Does it have to be the gold k&b or will the old black ones work & you drill it to what you want work?

If your running Stk tunnel you have to run the gold one. Because that is the way they came from factory. But if anything else you can drill them out & use how ever.

Hope that helps

Alan,

That's not true. The new rules allow any item that came "stock" on any of the product lines to work. Well, that is for IMPBA. For some reason I can't open the Roostertails to see the updated rule. Then again, not certain if a bored out black carb would be allowed. Think it would as long as it's not overbored. The new rules allows the OS XM V1 to be run with the V2 air cooled parts.

Are we talking about a 3.5 k&B? If so I have one. Black in color. I'll see if I can get a pic of it tonight. Make me a offer and I'll get it in the mail Monday.

black, gold, and purple are the only legal namba stock carbs to run on a KB gold head 3.5. Now there is a KB gold head 7.5. Thats different. Gold and purple are exactly the same. The red carb only came on the 7.5 inboard motors. It does work nicely on 21 Novas.

The gold carb is what came on that engine. I have one Rob, $20 shipped to a U.S. zip code. No PayPal, USPS M.O. or check only.

I will take it mopar I will need your address. thx everybody

Not to open old wounds, but the only carbs that are legal on the K&B outboard in IMPBA, are the black or the gold carbs from K&B.

Rob,

Sorry for the late reply, Yes it is for a 3.5 K&B

Just checked the ID on both of them .263 and one is .2909. Both black

Make me a fair offer on one.

Not quite right...lolol

Black= .262" Gold=.312" Red=.343" Purple=.343" Back in the 80's , K&B sent a batch of .343" carb bodies off to the plater .....a communication error resulted in a purple .343" carb.....

Rather than stripping them and re-anodize them Red , K&B just sold them as a spare part for the 7.5 disc motor......

Over the years the reputation of the carb has grown to be a performance inhancer for K&B ......That just wasn't so.....

Ronnie, the .2909" carb has been bored out. .300" is what a lot of folks feel is an ideal bore size carb for the 3.5 k&b. Good carb, good mod - just don't get caught with it on a impba sport or namba stock engine at a race.
On another note, I still owe you a phone call!! I got caught up in other stuff & completely spaced on calling you..... My apologies, still wanna talk?
