trying to figure what days I would run so what IMPBA letter goes with what motor size

Namba

A= 21

B= 45

C= 67

What would be the IMPBA equivalent

Paul,

B=. 21

C=. 35

D= .45

E= .67

that's the 10 cent of it.. you can go to IMPBA.net to learn the size limits.

Your correct. X hydro is F hydro. Twin hydro is twin hydro in both organizations. Keep in mind in X hydro namba you can run any twin rigger from 45 Twin to 1.01 twins. In impba you can only run twins from 45 twins to 91 twins engines in it. That's why most of us have 80/90 Twins for F hydro and then a 1.01 twins for Twin hydro class. Twin hydro is a specialty class

Twin Hydro is a US-1 class Just ask the first ever winner Ralph aka BEEP BEEP

A BIG FYI-- A-Stock OPC class is a stock motor only class and will be checked. I think IMPBA allows internal mods but NAMBA does not. If your .21 outboard has any mods enter it in A-Mod-OPC.

Robert, didn't NAMBA automatically tear down the stock class winner in the past? I think this is a really good way to keep the class clean.

Is there any reason the NAMBA nationals are not running B Mod OPC? True B stock motors have not been available for some time. You can't buy new equipment and or even a stock compliant lower unit. Most of IMPBA runs .45 mod and we have pockets of a .45 can muffler class. (local). I know tunnels are losing ground on the west coast (NAMBA) . Wichita is close to the mid west and even the east coast where some Mod.45's still live on.

No real reason other than it just didn't make the cut. Doesn't mean it couldn't be added but it would require quite a few people to show interest.

Then it could be discussed to see if it is a viable option.

i think there would be more interest in mod 40 tunnel than stock...

I also would think there are more mod than stock .45 tunnels out there. If the class isn't offered it would stand to reason no one would sign up. Is there a reason such as past nationals where mod was outnumbered by stock?

Mic

Where's our NAMBA outboard director when we need him?

Mic,

Sorry. Looks like I missed this thread. Yes, there would be substantially more 40 mods than 40 stock, due to interest and availability of engines. Unless there is something I am missing here, both classes should be offered. That will show the interest. If one doesn't make it, then it would be dropped like any other class without supportive interest. Like many on this thread have already posted, I would roll the dice on 40 Mod for sure.
