1/8 scale downsize to Sport 20

I'm dealing with this idea over the last couple month. Did anyone took a 1/8 scale plan and downsized it to a Sport 20 or 40 ?

I had the idea to take a Newton plan and scale the plan down.

Any suggestions and/or ideas ?

Yeah.

ML Boatworks RC and the kits are great.

1/10 Scale is a little short for Sport 40

1/12 Scale I do believe is Sport 20

Reduce the plan about 30%. a 44 inch boat would be 30.8 which would be sport20 size
