Robert,
A simple hacksaw will convert your existing unit. On a used lower you might save $20 so do yourself a favor and buy a complete new one. The new casting is better in my mind than the old ones. Also get one complete with flex and new prop shaft. A deal IMO. Then sign up for a race and use it.
