Got a carby pic?
The old cmb purplehead had a plain plate with a spraybar available to fit the carby years ago to take place of the carby high speed needle when using a third channel needle.....not sure if they would fit,, or if someone even has one..could plug it with a bolt..

You can tap it and use a set screw or just cut the needle so it's flush with the threads on the needle then loctite it into the carb.

Yes cut the needle off and put it back in is the way to go.
