Copied from the Outboard forum for anyone who might have missed it:

-LSG OUTBOARD TUNNEL GUYS,

Looks like we are finally making some progress with the LSG Outboard Tunnels. The proposed class rules were brought to the IMPBA board meeting and we were granted a 1 year trial for the class. The trial year will begin January 1st of 2018. After the trial year is over, they will review the entries over the trial year period and if the class looks as if it is stable or growing, these boats will be instated as an official class. Once this happens these boats will be eligible to run for straight line and oval records in the IMPBA.

Below is a copy of the rules as they will be for the one year trial period. I hope that this class will take off. I know you guys have wanted this for eight or nine years now AND HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO KICK IT OFF! You guys will have to really show up in 2018 with all of these boats to make this happen.

A special thanks to Paul Traufer for bringing a voice to this issue and making it happen!

-Carl

We have one (www.ptiracing.com) , to be frank we haven't done much with it since we acquired it from ML Boatworks due to the limited market.

BUT with this new interest in Gas Tunnels we are full steam ahead with a build and new instruction manual. And with this build we'll outline everything you need to complete the boat

To start we are going with the Lawless Lower end, it seems to work the best on this hull.

Please check our web site we will be updating it soon with more information on this hull

We do have kits and cowls in stock but again, we are working on the instructions. So unless you are an experienced builder you might want to wait.

Thanks

Paul

Just a bit of clarification on rule 2:D. Back when I ran a gas tunnel at the WTC (2007 & 2008), the throttle was able to turn the motor off. Is that good enough? Or should a 3rd channel be setup to use a motor kill switch? Looking forward to having a LSG Outboard Tunnel for 2018..

Paul, Actually I am waiting for the instruction manual on gas tunnel, before I start the built.
