Does anyone know how to setup this needle valve to a CMB 45 VAC for the first time? It's going into a JAE 45 GT

In the engine compartment, bottom fitting goes to the tank and the middle fitting goes to the engine. You need to run pressure from your tuned pipe to the fitting on your tank. Setup your servo so you can richen or lean the mixture or like some people start with a rich mixture and go lean for your best tune. If you need more help have a fellow boat help you start with a rich mixture so you don't damage your engine. The 3rd needle is a great feature as long as you know how to use it. The fitting connections are only for the Stu Barr/ Bob Violet needles other 3rd needles may be different . Good luck.

Thanks for the advise. Does the servo arm get set at the closed off position? Maybe I should wait and learn how to install it when boat season starts.

When your servo is in the neutral position the needle arm should also be in the center position of its travel.

The closer to the eng you can mount it the better.

Don't use a long arm on the servo It will make adjusting it with the radio to quick.

The Sullivan control rods as seen in Julian's pics make the set up very easy. This way you don't have to mess with getting it lined up with the servo.

Put a small piece of fuel line over the rod and measure the OD then drill a hole in the radio box a tad smaller. Then gust push it in the hole.

Do the out side sleeve of the rod first. Then cut the inside rod to the length you need.

Thank you so much for the pictures and install process. Really appreciated! I'm hoping to have the rigger finished when the season starts. My JAE is in the machine shop now getting the engine mounts fabricated. I'll take a pic or two when it's almost ready for paint!

Stu's new needles are red plastic not purple thoughs are the older Bob Violett needles. They are the same thing products.

Yes, they are red but the look exactly the same as the purple ones on his killer twin! Thanks for the help guys.
