My uncle bought a 1/6th scale thriftway too kit from ml mlboatworks instead of the gas scale version I was talking to him last night about selling it would anyone be interested in a boat that big it is 68" long and 27" wide. I was trying to talk him into putting a Briggs 5hp beings it is so big but he thinks im crazy lol.

Not sure what you can do with a boat that big. It's too big to run in T-boat since the IMPBA rules say:

Length shall be a maximum of 56 inches, minimum of 47 inches. Width shall be a minimum of 22 inches

Its too big to run gas scale as the NAMBA MHR says the length must fall between 59.95 and 62.45" while the width must be 20.06 to 25.54".
 
Back in the early 80's my Dad had an 8 ft. pickle fork hydro was more like an "A" Stock hydro with a 50cc Quadra in it.. We needed a lake big enough to run a real boat on but when she got up on plane running 35-40 mph it was real impressive for back then.. Definetely didn't have a problem seeing that puppy on the water!!
