Just wondering what size hydro hulls are out there that would suit a 90 size nitro motor? Like a whiplash, backlash etc
 
I built a 101 whiplash and would not advise going any larger. It took quite a bit of oomph to get up to same speeds as it ran with a gas motor.

If you are building one from the beginning as a nitro hull make sure to plan for pretty big fuel tanks. I was using an existing hull I ran as a gas boat and just ran the same tank which was only good for about 7-8 laps.

Hi Tyler,

did your whiplash with the CMB 101 perform as well as when you had the gas engine in it

It ran similar speeds, but needed more time to build heat and get back on the pipe if I let off. It was a little hard to judge because as soon as I built some heat in the motor and got a needle it was nearly out of fuel. The boat with the QD motor was top competitive boat several years ago so it had big boots to fill.
