The minimal amount is not a bother to me, the dog will not be perfect no matter what you do if you use a grub or whatever. All I know it not going anywhere,
 
I put a drop of red Loctite into the set screw hole first. The red Loctite will wick between the shaft and the drive dog. Then I install the set screw with another drop of Loctite. It will not let go
 
I set the shaft up in a mill and use a ball end mill the dia.of the set screw and go about .060 deep and red loctite everything and it will not slip
