Very nice boat Ken. Im wondering if anyone has used a Picco p zero engine in a rigger before? It is 0.85cc or 0.06ci capacity.

Cheers, Sam.

thats super small....thats like 1/16 scale..be kind of cool to see what that will do.

what is your whole setup u r runnimg...kind of looks like a jae rigger, fuel porp, ect

never seen anyone run one that small...looks great!

Hi James, yes its a lengthened tiny jae, picco p zero 0.85cc nitro engine, 430 prop, roughly 35% nitro fuel, the carb throat is too big I am going to reduce it, then start modding some props. I have always had a fascination with small boats, thought I would try this! Once I get this setup working well, I plan to build a twin!

Cheers, Sam.

I have 2 of this thinking about a twin hydro Russian K 1.5

ken would u be able to run that in a 12 class or just as a poud pounder to have fun with?

james

That would be very nice Ken, those little uctkam engines scream. Would you use an exhaust throttle on them?

Sam,

Forget the carb reduction those motors love nitro.
We run .250" to .2.75" bore carbs on our 12 Novas.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Tested the rigger on the weekend, ran a lot better. Have video, but having trouble uploading it.

Sam I had a crapshooters copy that was about 25 inches long , ran a Enya 11 cx car engine with jg e20 prop lots of fun , ran on the smell of an oily rag too

Sounds good Wayne, the engine Im using is 0.85cc/0.06ci, running a 1 oz tank, ran about 6 or 7 laps, had half a tank left! The engine is basically the same size as a cox .049 yet a 3 port car screamer.

I have it running lots better now, here is a link, hope it works.

I love it. I actually have sitting on my desk right now an SH engines PT0701 .07 side exhaust engine i'd love to build in to a rigger. What did you use for the flywheel and collet on yours?

Hi Tom, thanks, it been a lot of time and effort to get to this point. Because of where the carb is, i machined a solid brass flywheel, about an inch in dia, by half inch long, that slips over the crank, then a threaded piece of hex screws onto the crank. The hex has a 1/8 hole for the flex, held by a grub screw. Engine was pull start, remove pull start assy, machined up an aluminium pulley and mounted to the pto. Great fun, good luck, and I look forward to seeing you baby firefighter, cheers, Sam.
