Hey Gang,

The dates have been confirmed...

The 2017 Atlanta Spring Nationals will be held on April 22nd & 23rd!

We will be posting more information and registration information over the coming weeks.

We hope to see you there!

Thanks,
Lamar

Lamar please let us know if anything has been done to allow more open water at your Spring event?

There was (is) nothing to be done Joe. We lost that battle three years ago.

If it wasn't for Lamar's negotiation skills we would have lost the site.

Hi Blaise,

The site will be open Fri. morning.

The pond will be closed to IC engines until 5pm.

Gents,

Sorry for the delayed response, but Doug is all over it.

We have pushed the issue with the land owner as far as we can push it.

The pond will be open all day on Friday for set-up. Open water will begin at noon for the electric boats and nitro and gas can fire up and hit the water at 5:01 PM EST. Not ideal, but we do have several hours of daylight available after 5PM that time of year and the open water starting at 5PM will be CONTROLLED open water. We don't want it to be a free-for-all knowing that everyone will be itching to get some laps in at 5:01 PM.

Thanks,

Lamar

Question.......will there be an electric 1/8th scale class or will nitro and electric be combined? Still looking for a place to run my electric boat.

John

John,

Initially the nitro and electrics will be combined. If we get enough interest to separate the electrics out into their own class we will do so. I know Doug Smock plans on entering his 1/8 scale electric... There are a few guys from the Michigan electric club planning on attending too, but I'm not sure if any of them have a scale boat or not.

We want everyone to come an have a good time (regardless of their preferred power source)!

Thanks,

Lamar
