As far as I know that mustard yellow is not a pearl. I had the paint code for that at one time as I was seriously considering doing that boat. I'll look around in the shop today and see if I still have it.

I thought it was listed on the Newton plan set I have for that boat. Roger called it mustard yellow with no number listed.

1976 OLYMPIA Beerppg 83851.
Dupont chroma base #790br cream yellow.
DuPont # 5443. Cream yellow.
PPG Concept paint. The yellowish/mustard color is DCC #83851.
Several choices of mfg.
Its not a pearl color, base white and the yellow cream.

Yes at one race, wing got damaged and they removed it. Joe posted a pic from that race.

I spoke with Billy when I was the NAMBA Scale director and he said they chose to run it that way for the one race as it was a short course and they thought it would be a benefit -
