Switching over to the OS needle with the World Champion base and noticed it wouldn't "repeat" or return to the same flow setting every time. Figured it was because of the slight amount of play between the threads on the unit.
If you put an O-ring (1/4" ID works well) at the base and set it up so the plastic housing just starts to contact it at the full rich position it will compress as the needle is leaned and take up the slack. Result? Settings are rock solid and return to the same flow reading every time.
