7912 ?

photos from the Newton Marine smug mug 1979 collection.

MHR shows the 7912 as the Budweiser one season.

no other names listed.

one off Bud shop boat ?

back up display hull ?

looks like the 109-7402 / 7455 with decreased bow recess

comments ?

Went for the world record in the mile straightaway at the end of the season and was destroyed.

The pictures you posted are not the 7912. They are of a display boat made from the Miss US, 7402 Note that the cowling had no exhaust holes and does not come off.

this clears up my confusion about the 7912 and 8012 boats.
 
IIRC, the 7912 and 8012 were almost line for line twins. Obviously, the Bud crew made some minor changes to improve performance but, beyond that............
