Weather's looking good for this weekend, cold front coming through on Fri. afternoon will cool things off and produce light winds from the west (good for Thread Lake).

See ya there!

Last minute home responsibilities will keep me away tomorrow. Hope to make it on Sunday. Have fun guys and keep me up dated!

Another great weekend thanks to the FAST crew, Mike, Mark and Mikey. Mother nature sure can play tricks as the forecast was for a light breeze from behind us, instead it was in our face most of the weekend. Still, we got a few shots early and late both days and Shawn Swain was finally able to capture the Q Cat record at 2.006 sec or 112.164 mph with a best pass of 2.002 or 112.388. Congratulations Shawn!

Keith Kirchen also upped the fastest pass ever recorded at Thread Lake with a 1.816 sec, 123.899 mph blast with his S Cat. Unfortunately the water had dropped about 6" during the day and one of his passes didn't trip the beam or he would have surely upped the record.

FAST member Mike Nowicki's new .12 hydro was looking good in testing helped by "Prop's 4U" Mark Sholund. Mark dropped by on friday and and talked about some of the new props coming from ABC, good to see you again Mark.

FAST member Mark Stein had his Mutt flying again and made some great progress with a scratch built 40 hydro he's been working on. In addition to other duties Mark hauls our driver's stand to and from the site which is a great asset to our events, thanks Mark!

All in all a bit of a frustrating weekend watching the water most of the time but hangin' with my buddies pond side beats sitting on the couch watching tv any day.
