RC Boatworks HEADACHE

How many of you guys are experiencing the same problem with Russ Jackson ? I ordered a boat from Russ Jackson

last March 17 and was told that I'd get it in a week. March 23 he debited my credit card but up to now April 13 no boat

because Russ has not paid the boat biulders Miguel and Rigo. The Stryker is a nice boat but go buy somewhere else

where you wont have this big headache like mine. I know of copies from Hong Kong which only sells for $50 but I just

wanted to run the original but do you think it's worth the headache. >

I wish all you guys dealing with Russ Jackson

The guy's that I have talked to really like the hulls from Russ, seems like he had some health problems a while back, Everybody says it worth it to get the real hull though,

Yes you're right Russ had health problems and he still does. He is sick in the head. I finally got my Stryker thru the

kindness of my guardian angel Ron Buck. He helped convince Russ to send me my order which was already paid

last month. I got my Stryker with no radio box and Russ wants me to pay extra for it. Russ is now 1 radio box

richer because he kept what I paid for. If you guys want a Stryker buy it from Ron Buck ([email protected]) and

spare yourselves the nightmare. Russ does not make the Strykers anyway he's into refrigeration which affected

his brain after entering too many freezers.

Russ has been recovering from a bout with colon cancer and is probably still undergoing chemotherapy. Cancer is not fun but he should not be cashing checks or taking credit card orders that he can not fill though until he is able to deliver on. you are not the first one that I've seen complain but let him know to give you what you paid for, I'm sure that he should set things right, just give the guy a little slack, he's gone through Hell with the cancer!

It looks like to me this is the work of the one and only Ron Buck. I ordered a boat from Russ at the same time, I called and left 4 msgs on Russ's voice mail. Then a week later I called Ron Buck to talk to him about the G23 PUM motors he was selling.

After some small talk and I gave him my name he stated oh your the guy who leaves russ msg's on his machine. he stated he listens to russ's msg's all the time. He started bad mouthing russ.

I advised him hey ron I called to talk to you about G23's and you have gone on and on about russ.I was amazed that I called Ron buck's number only to find out he is in the same office as Russ. I talked to Russ 3 days later he said he never received any of my msg's. Russ told me my boat was inroute and it arrived 2 days later.

Russ Jackson this post is to put you on notice !

Ron Buck is Bad mouthing you beware !

You guys should consider yourself lucky. I got the beats-all story. I ordered a LeeCraft 21 tunnel hull from Tommy Lee. I sent him a deposit check. The check is dated March 14, 1999. That is NOT a typo....March 14, 1999. He still has not delivered my hull. I would have thought my name would have moved to the top of the list by now....lol. He's building for his friends and big name racers. I knew going in that he is a slow builder.

During the past three years I have only called him twice...and he said he was going to build my boat. He is a great boat builder/racer...but stinks as a businessman.

I know that Ron Buck hangs out at Russ's shop almost everyday and I know that Miguel and Rigo are the ones building

the Stryker. I have talked to Miguel regarding my order and he told me that he could build the boat anytime as long

as he gets paid by Russ. I have also ordered a QD25 from Ron to go with the Stryker and he delivered as promised

when he received the money I wired from the Philippines. I have dealt with both guys and Ron was more straight

forward. I know how difficult it is to have cancer because my dad had it before but its never an excuse to give

customers a runaround. I spent a lot on phone calls to both of them and I felt that Ron told the truth but as the gentleman

said he talks so much about Russ. On the other hand Russ speaks highly of Ron being so dedicated to the hobby.

Ron has more concern for his customers wherein he did not like to sell me a QD pipe till Mitch improves on it because it cracked.

True enough I cracked the one I have in the header between the flange and the cut in the single cut pipe because of the

power of the QD25. Honestly I don't know what's going on between Russ and Ron and whatever it is lets just leave it that way.
