has anyone tried using a savox sa 1256 tg servo to steer a 45 shaman tunnel hull , they are rated at 277 oz titanium gears , 6 volt , .....thanks

It will turn it no problem. I use a HS 645. I think its in the 150oz range. No issues.

Hello Bob,

I was running dual HS-645 servos mounted in tandem at one time in my Shaman but this past spring while at the time trials I was running my 2-lap competition and after 2 or 3 really hard laps I was experiencing a little servo fade and actually I had even toasted a couple of the 645's before that. I have just recently installed a single HITEC HS-M7990TH and a 6v battery pack. This is not a cheap servo but it will hang with a really hot Nova Rossi 7.5 Mod with no fade issues. I know a lot of people are running the dual 645's in their 7.5 mod tunnels but they did not work out for me.

I actually run this same servo in my Mod 3.5cc tunnel and of course it does a bang up job in that size model as well. I have not tried any of the Savox servos but I have heard that people like them. I like the 7990 so much I don't think I will even try anything else.

I prefere to use a single strong servo especially in small shaman radio box , lay out is easier....thanks for your responces
