10S Aeromarine Conquest

Hello ,

I am planning on setting up an Aeromarine Conquest on 10S for use FE use in my District's open cat class. I was wondering what be a solid set up that would reach speeds of 65-70 mph. What motor and speed control would I need to use? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

The motor is a no-brainer, the Castle 2028. The ESC is another issue, I convert Castle aircraft controllers. Every club member has had their various Swordfish fail, and even though others elsewhere have had decent luck - sometimes - I can't recommend most of them.

Okay , I was thinking of using a 1/5th scale esc from an rc car and just converting it for water cooling. I have raced gas cat and smaller electric boats (P Size) and I just got tired of running gas , so I figured that a big electric cat would be fun.

Try an ETTI esc have had great luck with them in 1/8th scales. They are sealed in conformal, unrated amp wise, plug and play. Oh and very affordible. http://www.etti.com.hk/popup_image.php?pID=396&osCsid=c65b016a4ae34cd953fc67de733dbfec
