Picco - Large Scale Engine Tuning

We are dusting off an old Picco 90 inboard engine (started only once) and having trouble tuning and keeping it running with the old school carb. Seems the engine is not pulling fuel from the tank...we have the pipe properly installed as well as the tank pressurization line...as well as changed fuel tank. I have been told this has been an issue with the larger old Picco engines. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance

Sounds like the disc is in backwards.

Can you blow through the pressure line into the pipe? If you used a thread locker it could be pugged.

Thank you both for your replies...I will try the line into the pipe. Danny what do you mean that the disc is in backwards?

I don't think Danny meant backwards, maybe 180 degrees off.

If it was taken apart ( back off ) it could even be in the port when it was put back together but you said it ran once? Have you looked in the carb needle?

Easy way to tell if the disc is out 180* is to look thru the disc opening. Turning it thru its cycle. If at any point you see the rod clear as day. It got install in the wrong pin hole.
