I drove past the old TVMBC pond on Friday and unless I am mistaken it looks like its being filled in. That really stinks if it is really happening , I have a lot of very fond memories of that place. Tony J

1000 years from now some group will excavate the site and wonder what was going on in the area when they find all of these primitive props, rudders and other assorted boat parts.

Sad, it WAS the best place to race.

Too bad, was a good run...

I drove by today and it doesn't look like the pond has gotten any smaller. However, they sure have given the landscape a makeover. The pond just looks small because there isn't any trees at the east end and the fields are all built up around it. I doubt there's even a solid plan for the property at this point because there's still a "Prime Retail Space for lease" sign on the Dingman Rd. side of the pond. The city wants to showcase that land in hopes to bring people in. The sad part is there's a bunch of property all around it that has vacant buildings and a bunch of dead space. It could sit there for a long time without tenants. Oh well...

This is truly sad....We have many many found memories of the London Pond. It was the site of our first race. It was a Great pond with Amazing people who ran the club!

We drive by every so often on our way down to Michigan to visit Jason and it saddens me to see the development encroaching around the pond
