Can anyone give me general rudder and prop size and set up for jae .91/101 that I am building but want to go electric. I am not racing just building for fun but would still like to have quite a bit of speed maybe 70 or so. I'm new to boats have been building and flying for about 3 years.

I would not mind if someone can call or send me a number so I can pick your brain just a quick chat. I'm in Houston Texas and resources here are limited thanks Elliott Hunt 830-481-7761. I do know that I want to run 8s don't have a general weight yet, but boat will be a bout 38" there is just to many open ended questions.

See Tyler's comments. He has the experience with this size boat. I would think that the minimum power plant would use an 8 cell battery. That way you could get by with a Castle Phoenix 200 ESC. It's good for more than 200 amps when water cooled. Two hundred amps gives a nearly 8 hp on 8S. I would be shocked if a 90 nitro motor gets close to this power. A 10S setup (the maximum allowed in NAMBA) would take a high voltage ESC. I have no experience with these. Assuming 20 to 25,000 propeller rpm, an 8S motor would need a KV between 830 and 1000. On 10S the KV should be between 675 and 810.
