Hey Gang,

The Atlanta Model Boaters are proud to host the Atlanta Grand Prix on July 16th & 17th . The event is now open for entries via www.RCRacingEvents.com . We are offering a wide variety of Gas, Nitro, and Electric classes.

Lamar what hotels are near by the lake and are in a safe area?

Bill,

I would suggest staying off Exit 61 on I85 (Fairburn, GA). Roughly 10 minutes from the pond and plenty of hotel and restaurant options to choose from. It is a much nicer/safer area than Union City or up around the Airport. I have stayed at both the Hampton and Holiday In Express on that exit and both were very nice.

I will be flying back from Dallas on Sat. night 7/16 so I'll miss the racing all day but will be out Sunday morning to run a heat or two.
