The intent is to open up registration on Sunday, July 12th. Was originally planning on Saturday July 11th but Saturday is work day for some hence the change of days. Also want the Gas Nats to be completed and guys rested a bit before the registration opens. And then there is the July 4th holiday period as well. The race has been set up for opening.

Usually the Columbus day weekend in Oct. 3 day event.

Race dates are Friday to Sunday, Oct 9-11, starting at 8am on Friday. Controlled by CD open water all day on Thursday. Additional open water is Wednesday.
We host this race on the Columbus Day holiday each October. The holiday (Monday) always hits on the SECOND Monday. It is that weekend that the race is held.

The race will be open for general registration this coming Sunday, July 12th, at 6pm EDT or 5 pm CDT. All entries will be taken on rcracingevents. There will be an early period on Wednesday for the race CD's and the CMB members. If you are not among that group, do not enter or you entry will be canceled. I will put out more info later this week for all.

Reminder the race will open TOMORROW, July 12th at 6 pm. Ignore the July 18th date on the rcracingevents site as the opening date. It is an artificial date that was selected. The software is set up for the choice of a date only and not a date and time. So in order to open it at 6pm, I have to move it to a future date and then manually change it at 6 pm on the opening date. Otherwise it opens up at 12:01 am, just after midnight. Did that once, will not do it again.

After waking up to 1/2 dozen complaints about the posts from a few individuals last night this thread has been cleaned up. If anyone has issues with the host club or any of it's members you need to handle it privately thru p/ms or emails. Those of you involved know who you are so there is no need for calling anyone out nor is there any reason for "rebuttals" to be posted, they will be deleted.

CMB, we are looking forward to this race as well. Mike, Dave, Martin, and I always enjoy the competition and the companionship of the racers, CMB club members, and the Tumblestons generosity and use of their property. Always a great time.
