It's a little early, but the 2015 Summer Outboard Shootout is open for entries on rcracingevents.com. The race will be Aug.1&2 with open water July 31.

We are changing up the format a little this year. There will be 4 rounds of racing for score. Plaques will be awarded for 1-3 place in each class. Then all classes with 5 or more entries. There will be a shootout race, for places 1-5, in each eligible class. It will be winner take all for a little extra bling! This will take the place of the 5th round of racing we did last year.

Just like last year will be running on a tri-oval course at Kem's Big Pond in Sycamore, GA. If you missed it last year. You missed one heck of a race. At any one time, you had the best and fastest R/C Tunnel Hull racers ,going at it head to head every lap of every heat! So make plans to join us this year for more tunnel action!
 
March and August were the only open months in the D-13 schedule. March has the highest chance of having bad weather, i picked August. It's also far enough away from the WTCs and HSC races it should give guys enough time to make all three. It was in June last year, and that didn't work out for number of racers in our district and your district.
 
I will for sure be there this year. Very much looking forward to coming back to that pond, I had a blast last year.

Good time of year to get some good racing in...might have to hand deliver sone Dragons to make it worth while ;-)

Don't worry... there will be plenty "FIRE BREATHERS" at this race.

Just patiently waiting for the KANGAROO EXPRESS!

We made some changes to the Summer Outboard Shootout! The Shootout will not be determined by points. Saturday night we will be running B-Sport, B Tunnel, D Tunnel, and P Limited FE Tunnel, under the lights, for those that want too. We will have a sing up sheet Friday during open water and Saturday. It will be a separate event from the regular 4 rounds of heat racing.

We are building a new fleet of boats for this race. Drake figured out how to make our boats run off rum!
 
Jeff, you and Drake need to get signed up and come race with us this year! We had a great time talking with yall in Charleston.
