That's cool....Keep innovating ......That's what it is all about......building , not just buying.......Thanks Mike, I’ll let you know how that ski design works out.Looks like some one has a plan. Nice
Hope to have in the water soon.
Tom
Tom,
Try G-10 for the ride surface. You can test it quickly and make thickness changes if needed to?
You may want a longer tub length next? Add the bait box, it will give you a better ride.
On our 12-JAE's we just solder a piece of brass shim stock to the bottom of the stuffing tube.
No sides needed at all. Lots to think about with "Flat Plane Technology". I have a few other ideas
if you are interested. We built a few new boats over the winter with some other good ideas.
Thanks,
Mark Sholund
231-590-3023 Tommy I have g10 if you need some
If you simply follow the zippkits instructions and run a modern .21 motor, you will have a super competitive race boat. (Or just a super fun boat) The only thing you may have to adjust is the angle of the turn fin for optimal ride attiitude. You will be blown away by how easy it is to get running good compared to the riggers from 25 years ago. Ask questions on this forum or do a search to see if the question has already been asked.I have one of these kits, but haven't built a nitro rigger in almost 25 years. I don't really know where to start.
