Need a refresher on how much oil for .90 running 50% with a good blue/green synth. oil. (FHS, Morgans). Running and old O.S. 91 ducted fan conversion engine. Preference to making the engine live longer that one race

My recipe for large engines is:

30% methanol

50% nitromethane

20% Klotz Super techniplate

I like some castor oil in the mixture. Also, I mix it up in a 5 gallon container so that the fuel is the same from one gallon to the next.

It can vary with different engine breeds too,,I believe the K90 engines like a good oil 20%.

My new vac 91 is using 15%Klotz synthetic and 3% Castor at moment

Could go lower perhaps..

yes i hear those vac's r not like my OLD cmb's ,they seem to destroy themselvs on lower than 18% oil.

then again im talkin bout the full loaded crank engines, they ran on 10-13% oil-no problems.

the whole hobby world seems to be going backwards from what i see, seems like heat race speeds have leveled off instead of increasing

Heya Tom u may have to ask Terry that one,but I tell u what if my X mono can do 90mph on 18% oil then that's where its at haha..
