The length rules for tunnel hulls all say: Up To 27 for "N" , up to 34 for "P", up to 40 for "Q", up to 50 for "S", and up to 60 for "T".

Does this mean 1 to 27 for "N", 1 to 34 for "P", and so on or 1 to 27 for "N", 27 to 34 for"P" and so on.

What i am getting at is, Can you legally have a 34 inch "T" tunnel?

As I understand it. YES.. I think Paul Pachmeyer was the one charging for this and its been working.

Per IMPBA FE rulebook whatever class length has no minimum on all classes other than scale which have set parameters, and Sport Hydro that has minimum length in each classification N thru T. T tunnel 1- 60" good to go.

The "intent" was to have "semi-scale" boats of similar lengths racing each other. Someone thought it would "look better" than boats with significant length differences - a 23" and a 33" sport hydro racing in the same heat for instance. Another example of solving a 'problem' which never occurs.
