First of all Andy or John Brown if you have any tips or pointers please jump in at any time. I am attempting to rebuild, reseal, and repaint three of my older riggers and one twin that I bought off ebay last summer. Here is where I welcome any of Andy or Johns comments, later today I will include a link to the pics of this twin and of the 21 eagle sg or as I was told by some very good sources,"the first 21sg" ever built. Now I am not claiming that, but that is what I was told. Please check back frequently, any and all comments are welcome!

For this big make over take your time and I would suggest to be sure that all boats are perfectly cleaned...free of oil, water and dust.

Usually holes(most of them) present signals of oil/water infiltration so you can enlarge the ones that look worse and aplly a thin coat of epoxy to seal these critic areas. I like to use west systems resin in this step or any good epoxy glue(slow set).

In the motor/radio compartments inspect corners for cracks where the stress is very evident(corners of bulkheads and botton) and if necessary apply few layers of thin fibercloth(3/4 oz works great) with laminating epoxy resin as reinforcement. Slow set epoxy are better than fast ones and usually waterproof.

After the whole structure(tub/sponsons) look good you can start your painting task that will greatly depend on the quality of the construction and pre finishing(sanding and seal of wood) and your own personal skills.

Very important: do not forget to keep all `wet ´edges(sponsons bottom) as sharp as possible for the best performance.Good boating
