March 1 Tower hobby raised prices on os xm outboard parts prices.

Lower unit complete went from 168. to 249.00.

Drivedogs flexshafts...all parts, but motor v2 price held same...

WTF ???

Randy,

For this reason I now have all of the most used OS outboard parts in stock, including complete engines, V2 pipes and air cooled heads to convert V1toV2 as now allowed. The prices are at the old Tower prices, including complete engines at $399. Thanks.

Ron

OS has raised their pricing probably due to not enough production.

The deals you can find are of previous productions so take profit of this while you can...:)

not sure that future nitro engine productions, all around the world, would be high quantity batches...

today, loooking and understanding new modelers -->time is clearly for brushless power! so easy for young consumers

on a marketing point of view, nitro engine will concern, step by step, only a short group of experienced & expert modelers, also older every new year - so they will quit progressively this hobby technology

that's a fact

golden years of nitro engine were the years of picco/ops/cmb/novarossi initial designers; two of them have passed away now

to me, looking at .21 size engines for instance, nothing significant have reallly be designed after ops.21 sla & re design (1975?)

Gualtiero Picco was the best microengine designer, and his work matched nicely with the eighties technology and culture

today things are so different, but that's life!
