Chamber Bowl Volume

Hello-

I'm in need of having someone 'cc' and machine the bowls on a couple of

NovaRossi 46DD buttons. I know the dimensions that I want, just need

to hire someone who can machine them properly.

Would prefer someone in or near the Michigan area.

We appreciate any advice and direction.

i routinely mod the dd 21 buttons,by changing the squish band angle, and removing some depth to change the volume. can do what you need to the 46 also

Thanks, Steve...I'll measure the bowl volume and see what it spec's out at... looking to get 0.38cc- 0.40cc.

Some say the bowl already exceeds that, some say it's smaller than that. If it's a case of cutting the squish down

to reduce bowl volume to desired spec, then the button face that touches down on liner deck will need cutting down, too.

I'd like to get the bowl volume as specified above and have the ability to set squish clearance in the .008" to .012" range,

depending on fuel %'s and atmospheric conditions. As far as squish band angle is concerned, we'll leave that spec up to

you.

I'll give you a call around the first of the week and we can go from there.

No, Dave, I don't at present...but it would be no trouble to come up with a thumbnail sketch.
