The tried and true blast from the past! Pushing an Octura 1662, on a mongoose.

-What pipe currently available on the market, would give it the most bang for the buck? I see the AA 80/90 parabolic from double ace, also read he has a 90+ not listed too? The 90DD and 90DD+ from novarossi.us. The ops muffled and non muffled from rbmods, and gotnitroonline when they get back up and running. Any others are welcomed suggestions.

-Suggested length would be nice too!

-Also will the pipe need a muffler to be NAMBA legal? What muffler and where to buy?

-And the last item to be touched on. Can this pipe also double as a 26 to 30cc zenoah pipe in the future?

Al's 80 pipe is fantastic on the OPS 90. Running one on my eagle and JAE with OPS 90's in them. I started them at 11 3/4" pulling 1667, H50 and H31with ease. all props have at minimum 6.5" pitch

Tom ran the same setup with a 90 muffled MAC pipe. PM me your addy, I'll send you the pipe to try, if it don't work out just send it back.

Charlies ran every pipe you can imagine on the OPS 90, so he's the one to ask.

No, the pipe won't be appropriate on a gas engine, the volume will be too small, the stinger will be too small and the length will be wrong as the 15cc's turn higher rpm's than the gas engines.

This build has turned into more of a restoration, than a get in the water quick build that i planned. This boat needed love in every corner. I hope to find the time to compile the few photos!
 
Ok guys my #1 pic is the Muck pipe #2 AA 67 parabolic short stinger #3 Andy Brown black 67 pipe #4 Andy Brown 80 parabolic pipe. With a modded motor 11 1/2 to 11 5/8 1667 5 to 7 cup . I dont like H50s Blades are to week lost the transoms H31s is a really good prop mate the best for the OPS 90 . 2717 2719s are good also .

Thanks for the reply Charles! Wow the blackhead fleet! Interesting to see many different pipes in use. I guess you see similar performance across the board?

Also do you have a contact for parts for the OPS? I know gotnitroonline has parts but is currently under going a change in ownership. It would be good to know I could get more life out of it when something lets go or she decides it is time... Well fingers crossed i get a good first season from her!

Ya they are good in there own rights I favor the Muck pipe the most on the OPS 90 it fits me the best with the motor modds. As far as parts I relied heavily on Dave at got nitro for parts. Until his daughter or whoever takes over it’s pretty much up to the Manta dealership in England although I haven’t dealt with them directly. The Canadians sold out of the franchise a couple of years ago. I bought $2000 in parts from Dave so I haven’t had cause to chase parts at all and a lot of new part are different and better than the old ones cranks blocks rods extra. So if you need anything I may have it in old and new plus 5 spare motors if anyone is interested most are modded.

the Muck pipe looks very much like the Rossi .80 pipe i have run on my .91 Vac motor.

thank you,sorry, one more size..Dia.@ BAND. i found a pipe in my pipe box that is real close but i know for a fact it is a OPS pipe just from the first step up of the head pipe and no welded seam on band,thank smike.
