Looking at building a Twin Cat. Do I need to run counter rotating engines? Hoping to put engine in each hull. Thoughts and advise please.

Yes, you do need need counter rotating engines, I put two CY27 engines in my Bonzi Skater

You can go with RCMK 520 , inline motor, Send the motor to Danial's Place , He does A mode to make the motor work,

On my Skater I have a fitting from Bonzi which swings around the engine and making the flywheel side for connecting to drive cable to produce right turn on the propeller. The other engine is a normal left turn engine.

Both engines are using clutch for easy launching.
