Is there a product that is available to make the blue windshield I have a Atlas kit and would like to try to get as close to the boat that Bill Muncey drove any help would be great.

Greg - I went to a JoAnn's fabric/craft store & bought a 1/4 yard of 20 gauge clear vinyl (approx .015" thick) for about $1.25. It's extremely pliable and will take a tint using Rit dye.

Greg,

I forgot to look in my drawer last night,,, I do have some commercially available, just can't remember the suppliers name.

Will look tonight when I get home. I went through the same thing a few years ago when I build my 8255 U-100 Coor's Light.

some lexan comes with blue plastic protective covering so be carefull when u grab a sheet at the store as its still clear when u pull the covering off

School binders & some page sleeves come in translucent colors. Check wally world. Micheal's craft stores & hobby lobby carry colored plastic sheeting also. I went hunting for radio box lid material about a month ago. All the above stores had stuff that was too thin for my needs, but would work for you. Lots of solid & translucent colors.

you could cut a piece out of plastic soda pop bottle. Sprite or 7 Up would give you a green tint, etc.

How about some pics if the boat is built. I am currently building an 81 AVL, check my pics on the subject. Good Luck with the build.
